Photo restorations are not the primary focus of my work, however I am able to do a few pretty neat things with a mildly damaged or faded photograph. Please keep in mind that I only do minor restorations, but I do extensive creative enhancements to embellish an image so it presents as striking an image as possible! There are some instances when I simply cannot restore or "fix" a damaged photo image. However, in those cases, I can often create customized enhancements & borders to hide most of the flaws. As a last resort, I can almost always create a beautiful digital painting or black and white digital drawing from a badly damaged image or images with small measurements or low ppi. For e-mailing photos for any of the services I offer; For minor photo restorations or corrections, I charge a flat fee of $20.00, plus $8.50 for shipping & handling. More complex restorations will be charged on a case by case basis. You will receive one 8" x 10" printed copy of the finished image, printed on your choice of gloss or matt finished quality photo paper, plus a CD containing a copy of the finished image. Depending on the complexity of your project, I charge $10.00 to add a border and/or creative enhancements such as decorative digital "stickers". Adding creative enhancements and borders can really make an image pop! It's done on an individual photo basis and varies due to the subject matter of the image, as well each client's individual taste. You can make suggestions on what you'd like to see done as far as creative enhancements and/or borders, or you can allow me to apply my talent to create unique enhancements & borders for your images.
If you're interested in having me do a simple restoration/retouching of a photo, or if you want a digital drawing or painting, please make sure that your digital camera is set on it’s highest resolution setting or that you scan your photos in at 300 pixels per inch (ppi) or higher and save it as a ".gif" or ".jpg" image as this will ensure the best quality for your finished image.
Also, please do not resize your photographs prior to sending them via e-mail as this could hinder my ability to create a quality portrait for you. I will resize the image as I work to restore, retouch, or to create the digital drawing or painting. For digital portraits, it is entirely possible for me to create a much larger portrait of the subject as the work progresses. I have been able to create some lovely 16" x 20" digital portraits and landscapes from photos as small as 2” x 2.5” (wallet sized) with as low as 72 ppi for resolution, so feel free to send me your photo and I’ll evaluate whether I can work with the image to create the new image and size that you’d like to see. I’ll notify you via e-mail within 2 business days as to whether I can do the work you’d like done with your original photo. |
